Zadar to defeat Bosco, close Premijer Liga standings at first place

Zadar closed Premijer Liga regular season with a huge home win over Bosco in a game that the blue-and-white Dalmatians and Croatian reigning champions controlled in almost its entirety (92:50).

Zadar, in particular, entered the second quarter with a 9:2 run to build a double-digit edge, and keep control of the match to finally earn a 42-point win (92:50).

As a demonstration of a solid defense, with 50 points conceded in 40 minutes, the Dalmatians also prevailed in terms of stolen possessions, eventually forcing the opponents to commit 23 turnovers.

“I am not satisfied with our first half, while in the second part of the game we played with the right energy” Zadar head coach Danijel Jusup commented after the game.

Forward Krševan Klarica delivered a double-double performance of 11 points and 10 rebounds, guard Petar Vujačić put in 13 points, whereas forward Lovro Mazalin poured in 12 points.

Juan Davis, another forward, made 11 points, while guard Adem Mekić scored 10 points and 5 assists.

Zadar closed the regular season at first place, with 31 wins in 33 games played.

In the playoffs, the Dalmatians are set to face eighth-placed Furnir Dubrava.
