Zadar announced the re-signing of Juan Davis, a 27-year old swingman who will return to the blue-and-white squad from Dalmatia with whom, in the last, 2022-2023 season, he won a Croatian national title and clinched ABA League playoffs after a 15-year absence.
All across the last campaign, Davis, in particular, posted averages of 9,3 points, 4,7 rebounds, 1,1 three-pointers made per game in Croatian Premijer Liga, and 8,3 points, 4,1 rebounds, 1,2 triples made per match in the ABA League.
The 2,02-meter tall athlete from West Point, Mississippi will strengthen Zadar head coach Danijel Jusup‘s rotation, where polyvalent players play a modern basketball based on transition, disciplinate defense, and freedom on the offensive end of the court.
Davis, in particular, is expected to provide some rest to players committed, on a weekly basis, to both the Croatian national league, and the top-tier tournament of former Yugoslavia.
As writing, Zadar is Premijer Liga leading team, with a ‘clean sheet’ of eleven wins in eleven games played, as well as ABA League eighth squad, with a tied record of 5 wins and 5 losses.
All across his career, the US swingman played for Feyenoord in the Netherlands, Nokia, Kauhajoki and Raholan in Finland, as well as the Troy Troyans in the NCAA.
